Rita K. Fox, M.D. grew up in Eden Prairie, a small suburb of Minneapolis. She completed her undergraduate education at Bethel College in St. Paul and her Medical School and pediatric residency training at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Dr. Fox moved to Salt Lake City in 1992 and has been in private practice at Salt Lake Pediacenter since 1996.

Dr. Fox thoroughly enjoys Utah with the beautiful mountains and four seasons. Her hobbies include watching sporting events, in particular her children’s basketball and soccer games. She also enjoys hiking and biking with her family, and visiting Utah’s outstanding National and State Parks.


Kathleen McElligott, M.D. is from Ione, Oregon. She received her Medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon and completed her pediatric residency and her adolescent medicine fellowship at Primary Children’s Medical Center.

Dr. McElligott has served as Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine for over twenty years. She was the Director of the Teen Mother and Child Program, a program which provides comprehensive health care to 1,200 high-risk pregnant and parenting adolescents and their children each year. Dr. McElligott is also the Medical Director of the Salt Lake Detention Facility and Salt Lake County Youth Corrections Facility and serves on the Board of Directors for DDI (an early intervention program for disabled children.)

She has received numerous awards for her work with children and adolescents including the Planned Parenthood of Utah Community Service Award, and the Founders of Adolescent Health Award for Community Leadership from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. McElligott enjoys spending time with her family, traveling around the world, and is an avid runner.


Maggie Hull , M.D. considers Utah home since moving here at the age of 10. She graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency training at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Hull is a board certified Pediatrician. Prior to joining Comfort Care Pediatrics, she practiced with Wasatch Pediatrics in Heber City, Park City Healthcare in Park City, and IHC Pediatrics in Ogden.

While Dr. Hull enjoys all aspects of pediatric medicine, she particularly values the opportunity she has to develop long-term relationships with her patients and their families. She believes that good healthcare is best achieved through developing a partnership with patients and parents.

Dr. Hull and her husband Drue delight in spending time with their two young daughters. She also enjoys swimming, hiking, and ballroom dancing.


Kimberly Balog , M.D.

We are sad to say good-bye to Dr. Kimberly Balog. She has had to take an early retirement for medical reasons. She is referring her patients to Dr. Maggie Hull. We will miss you Dr. Kim.
